Administration makes change that will go into effect on Veterans Day 2020.
The Interior Department announced that President Trump’s administration would be waiving entry fees for U.S. military veterans and their families starting on Veterans Day 2020 (November 11). The new standard will be a permanent fixture moving forward. This gives these individuals access to about 2,000 public locations across over 400 million acres of public lands.
“The Trump Administration is committed to honoring American patriots – the men and women who have served in our armed forces,” said Secretary Bernhardt. “With the utmost respect and gratitude, we are granting veterans and Gold Star Families free access to the iconic and treasured lands they fought to protect starting this Veteran’s Day and every single day thereafter.”
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- For the president’s administration as it honors the service of U.S. veterans.
- For wisdom for Secretary Bernhardt as he leads the Interior Department.
- That God would use the Interior Department to steward His creation well.
